“Scopri Ferrara”, a multimedia itinerary to enhance the city heritage
Discover Ferrara is the innovative visitor app developed by ETT that reveals the wonders of Ferrara, including places, monuments and characters. Four different thematic routes through the tourist hubs of the Center, both by bike and on foot, guide visitors to discover the city’s artistic and cultural heritage.
The works and places are enhanced with multimedia content: descriptive text and audio in dual languages (Italian and English), a photo gallery of individual points of interest, direct links to the map to reach POIs, 360-degree panoramic images, unedited videos and advanced content.
Added to this, are period photographs or documentary from Ferrara’s Historical Archives, retrieved and included in the visual gallery of the individual Points of Interest, as additional pieces of the city’s historical heritage as well as edutainment and gaming elements such as Scroll and Discover.
Once the route is selected, several Points of Interest will be highlighted on the city map, which can be browsed from the lower bar or directly on the map. After selecting the POI, one can listen or read detailed content.
In addition to the physical places through art, historical, religious places, among villas, parks, architecture of the Ferrara territory, it is possible to follow interesting itineraries related to celebrities linked to the city, for example, the itinerary dedicated to the places of Michelangelo Antonioni.
