Within the Torino Film Festival, and in particular at the 2024 edition of the Torino Film Industry dedicated to immersive content and new technologies, ETT will be present to highlight its expertise in the audiovisual sector and present some of its flagship productions in the field of virtual reality.
Immersiveness and technology at the heart of the debate
On 27 November at 16:00 at the Circolo dei Lettori in Turin, ETT will explore the theme of immersive reality within the panel The world of immersive content, between hybridisations and experimentations. For us, Federico Basso, director of ETT, will participate.
The event is organised in collaboration with the Film Commission Torino Piemonte and the Politecnico di Torino.
In addition to exploring the potential offered by virtual reality and immersive technologies, Federico will discuss their applications in contemporary cinema, highlighting the role of creative experimentation and innovative factories. During the round table, we will share key topics such as the training of skilled workers in the VR and audiovisual sector, the distribution of innovative cinematographic works, and the relationship with Media call funds, supporting cultural and technological productions.
VR Immersive Room and ETT’s VR productions
In collaboration with the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, the University of Turin, the Polytechnic of Turin, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC), the ShorTO Film Market and ETT, an Immersive Room has been set up at the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento, which will be open to the public on 26 and 27 November. In the room it will be possible to discover the VR experience La Divina Commedia VR, Il Purgatorio, un viaggio immersivo, Storie di Pietra. La vita nell’alta Valle del Cervo ed Eroica VR.
For us it is fundamental to contribute to the promotion of immersive technologies and their applications to cinema and audiovisuals, which are indispensable to be a point of reference in the panorama of innovations applied to the sector.
