ETT will take part in the twelfth edition of the International Workshop on Marine Technology (MARTECH 2025), scheduled for 28–29 May at Kulturgunea Donibane in Pasaia, Basque Country. The workshop’s main objective is to share perspectives and cutting-edge research findings across various areas of marine technology. Since 2008, MARTECH has served as an international reference point for the dissemination of knowledge and innovation in the sector.
During the conference, Antonio Novellino, Head of the Smart City Business Unit at ETT, will present our activities across multiple domains.
On 29 May, during the session Smart Bays & international observing initiatives enhanced by Marine Technology, he will showcase ETT’s contribution to two strategic projects: ECoSS – European Catalogue of Sound Signature, focused on monitoring underwater noise pollution, and RAISE – Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment, aimed at developing innovative ecosystems for artificial intelligence and robotics in the Liguria region. His talk is titled “RAISE project: Sustainable environmental caring and protection technologies, towards a zero emission environment.”
In the session Data to products and services, AI & digital twins, ETT will present its work on EMODnet Ingestion, the European initiative for acquiring and enhancing the interoperability of marine data. Within this framework, ETT develops digital solutions to facilitate the collection, integration, and value creation of marine datasets, making them available to scientific institutions, policymakers, and stakeholders.
Aligned with MARTECH’s mission, the projects presented by ETT highlight how digital technologies applied to marine data can provide practical solutions for environmental protection and scientific innovation.
