Haydn VR Experience tour with ETT
A mobile immersive camera, a 3D visor and an entire orchestra to conduct. This is the focus of the new VR Experience designed and created by ETT for the Haydn Stiftung Foundation, previously unveiled as a preview on Oct. 13 during a private event tagged Rai. Framing the start of the Foundation’s 2023/24 Symphonic Season and created with the aim of making the Haydn Foundation and its heritage more accessible, the VR Experience will be enjoyed by the public in late October to early November in Bolzano and Trento. Specifically: – Bolzano, Piazza Walther from October 27 to November 2 – Trento, Piazza Cesare Battisti from November 5 to 8 By simply moving the arms, it will be possible to conduct the orchestra in Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 94 in G major, ‘The Surprise’, intervening in the volume and tempo of the performance. The experience not only provides a better understanding of the complexities of a live performance, but also stimulates a total sensory and acoustic perception, centred on listening and not just watching. The Haydn VR Experience is an opportunity for anyone who has ever dreamed of conducting an orchestra to enjoy a unique experience at the crossroads of culture and technological innovation. The Foundation’s commitment is to spread the project throughout the region and make it accessible to as many people as possible, free of charge, through a fundraising campaign to support the project. The Haydn VR Experience is also accessible to people with sensory disabilities: visually impaired audiences will be able to enjoy the experience in a fully acoustic mode, perceived in 360 degrees, while audiences with hearing impairments will still be able to enjoy an immersive emotional experience thanks to the use of VR viewers.
