The European project POLARIN, Polar Research Infrastructure Network, aimed at creating a network of polar research infrastructures at an international level, has kicked off. Coordinated by the Alfred Wagener Institute, it involves 50 partners. ETT is one of the four Italian participants together with the National Research Council (CNR), the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS) and INKODE cooperative society.

The project brings together 64 polar research infrastructures and promotes interdisciplinary research activities to study the processes that underlie climate change and enable the development of new sustainable exploitation models.
The study focuses on the Arctic and Antarctic, key regions critical to the climate and functioning of the Earth system.

ETT supports CNR ISP in coordinating Work Package 4 to develop innovative and simplified solutions for data access and processing. It also provides its expertise in Work Packages 5 and 6 and throughout the project to make data and metadata FAIR.
