The Open Sea Lab 4.0 (OSL 4.0) Hackathon is just around the corner for ETT. From March 25 to 27, the event will bring together marine data experts, developers, and social innovators to create digital solutions for the Blue Economy, coastal ecosystem management, and climate change adaptation.

ETT will take part in “Challenge 4 – EMODnet for the Coast,” which focuses on assessing the condition of coastal areas and the health of marine ecosystems using in situ data.
Leading the competing teams as coaches will be Marco Alba, R&D Tech Manager, and Pietro Viglino, Backend Developer, who will share their expertise in data management.
Key topics such as sea level rise, storm surges, blue carbon conservation, eutrophication, and pollution will be central to the development of innovative solutions in this challenge.

During the hackathon, participants will have the opportunity to combine EMODnet data with Copernicus Marine Service data and other open sources, enhancing the impact of their solutions.
As a coordinator of the EMODnet Physics theme and an active player in multiple EMODnet projects, ETT will contribute its expertise to support the integration and application of these data in sustainable coastal management.
