From 29 September to 2 October 2025, the Blue‑Cloud Hackathon will bring together scientists, developers, and innovators interested in exploring new approaches to marine data analysis and valorization. The event is part of the European project Blue‑Cloud 2026, which aims to build an open science ecosystem for ocean research.

During the hackathon, participants will design and test data-driven workflows by integrating diverse datasets using the digital tools available on the Blue‑Cloud platform, such as Virtual Labs and Workbenches. Activities will focus on four main challenges related to understanding marine ecosystems, environmental monitoring, and risk management.

As a technological partner of Blue‑Cloud 2026, ETT contributes to the development of tools for data analysis and sharing, as well as the design of digital environments that support the scientific community. In particular, ETT coordinates EMODnet Physics, one of the federated infrastructures of the platform. This portal aggregates, harmonizes, and distributes physical oceanographic data from international sources and plays a strategic role in ensuring access to high-quality ocean observations. It is fully integrated into the broader ecosystem of Blue Data Services promoted by the project.

Registrations for the Blue‑Cloud Hackathon are open until 26 September 2025.
