The Caleche General Assembly organized by the University of Naples Federico II and the STRESS Scarl Consortium is being held in Naples on October 22 and 23. On this occasion, members of the consortium will meet to discuss the state of the art and activities conducted within the project.

On the morning of Nov. 23, Maria Giovanna Pacifico, Ph.D. and Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, University Federico II of Naples, as well as R&D Project Manager at ETT, will present the progress related to WP 5 Digitalisation of the decision making approch (AI, hBIM, web-based tools) and illustrate the activities conducted by STRESS and ETT. In particular, he will focus on the two artificial intelligence algorithms developed to support the project: the first, dedicated to the recognition of historical periods from photographs of buildings, and the second, aimed at identifying windows and determining the percentage of transparent and opaque surfaces. The latter algorithm is designed to support users in the energy analysis of buildings and economic estimation of windows, providing a useful framework for assessing replacement costs.

Maria Giovanna Pacifico, together with some members of STBA and MTU, will present a mockup demo of a DSS (Decision Support System), already introduced during the dedicated workshop organized at the previous General Assembly in Visby, Sweden. The main objective is to gather feedback from partners on the usability and comprehensibility of the operational flow, as well as to evaluate the parameters used to determine the state of preservation of the building and its built heritage.
