The Nuova Diga Foranea represents a renovation of the Genoa harbour area that envisages the enlargement of the transit and manoeuvring spaces for ships within the maritime port of call, giving it a greater reception capacity.

In addition, the use of innovative technologies for its construction and the use of systems that foster the recovery, reuse and transformation of inert materials make the construction highly avant-garde, but at the same time sustainable, improving the reputational image of the city of Genoa, which is more competitive both economically and in terms of infrastructure.

The construction of the Nuova Diga Foranea was commissioned by the Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale to the “PerGenova Breakwater” Consortium composed of Webuild, Fincantieri, FINCOSIT and SIDRA.

For the Consortium, ETT is developing a dashboard that presents data collected from a wave buoy located in the shipyard marine area.

The dashboard has the ability to represent data on environmental conditions in real time, but will also provide the archive of historical data organised in time series.
