An innovative exhibition that highlights the history and culture of Corinini Cronberg Park and its role in the local area.
An interactive, inclusive and engaging experience designed to enrich visitors’ experience and enhance the historical and landscape identity of Coronini Cronberg Park. ETT oversaw the design and creation of multimedia and digital tools as part of the enhancement project financed with PNRR funds, aimed at restoring the site’s original identity as a Mediterranean landscape garden and making it more accessible, usable and innovative.
The tour consists of a series of complementary physical and digital experiences, available in three languages (Italian, English and Slovenian), designed to cater to different audiences and ensure a personalised and inclusive experience.
The Coronini Experience mobile app accompanies visitors with four themed itineraries tailored to different interests and age groups – from families with children to botany and history enthusiasts – combining narration, interactive maps and augmented reality features. The visit is exploratory and immersive, thanks in part to virtual guide characters and gaming content designed for younger visitors.
Inside the villa, a virtual reality corner allows visitors to experience first-hand the stories of the park and the palace in different historical periods. Wearing a VR headset, visitors are immersed in stereoscopic, narrative, three-dimensional reconstructions.
The same room also houses the Sense multisensory station, a solution designed to ensure accessibility for blind and visually impaired people. A tactile bas-relief model of the park, equipped with smart sensors, allows visitors to explore the space through touch: simply touching the model activates audio content that accompanies visitors as they discover the park independently.
The story of the place continues through an interactive multimedia station, equipped with a height-adjustable touch table, which is also accessible to people with reduced mobility. Visitors can navigate a 3D model of the villa and park, exploring its historical evolution and transformations over time through texts, images and videos.
To support the new experience, the Coronini Cronberg Foundation website has also been completely revamped. The intuitive and responsive interface allows consultation from any device, with sections dedicated to online booking and two virtual tours for remote viewing.
Finally, the project included the design of informational graphics and signage, with a particular focus on accessibility: tactile relief maps with high visual contrast accompany visitors along the route, helping them to find their way around and understand the layout of the spaces, even those with visual impairments.
