Oroborus – The amulet of lost time

Structured as a mobile app developed for iOS and Android devices, it allows the use of game-based content in treasure hunt style within the visit path of the palace. Royal Palace of Genoa. In order to retrieve each fragment, the player-explorer will have to identify, in the virtual scenarios and in the rooms of the ancient palace, certain details that will help him or her find the memory of the past.

The game is intended as a useful tool in engaging the audience of the young, inviting them to explore the rooms of the Royal Palace of Genoa through an alternative, educational and entertaining path. It is based on a very simple concept mechanic but challenging in its resolution: “Find The Hidden Object” through different animated scenarios with objects and characters related to the different periods of the Palace, markers and educational content suitable for different age groups. In fact, the game adapts its in-depth content to different ages so as to make the experience enjoyable for different audiences. At the opening, the application asks the user to enter his or her age so it can provide the appropriate content.

The player has to find an ancient artifact, a pendant in the shape of Oroboro, magically linked to the Hall of Time. An evil entity deactivated the pendant’s magical power, creating chaos in the space-time continuum. The main mission will, therefore, be to reactivate the five sections of the pendant to reconnect it to the Hall of Time and restore the order of events so that History can continue its flow while maintaining the memory of past events.
