An innovative multimedia installation that invites viewers to process a shared, common, participatory memory

Chronicle and memory on their smartphones

With Making Light, the first part of the G8 Project by Genoa National Theatreviewers are invited to enter a huge white cube encircled by yellow stripes as if delineating a crime scene, set up on the entirely empty stage of the Ivo Chiesa Theater, where they can begin a journey to be experienced through their smartphone. The app developed by ETT , by framing the markers , QR codesallows to unlock names, lists, dates, figures, facts, chronicles, sentences: an unprecedented summary of what happened during and around the days of the Genoese G8, a story divided into ten steps that each viewer can compose and take away with them on their device. In the final tab of the app, built in augmented reality, the comparison of the front pages of the newspapers of the time, both Italian and foreign.

A reconstruction of that 4-day event without intermediaries, videos and photos, made only of written words intended to offer a pure chronicle of the events of the G8.
