EuskOOS

EuskOOS is the operational oceanography system of the Basque coast operated by the Basque Meteorological Service (Euskalmet) with the technological support of AZTI, the Basque research and technological centre.
EuskOOS has 3 goals:
- Provide information on the current sea status along the CAE coastline
- Predict continuously the future conditions of the sea.
- Supply ocean-meteorological products to the users of the Basque Coast
EuskOOS data are integrated to different products linked to Blue Economy and sustainable management of resources industries.
ETT supported AZTI in redesigning the data flow and management of data in order to match in situ and forecast data, from both local and basin models operated by AZTI and Copernicus Marine Service respectively.
Moreover, the data presentation and return portal that receives the service users’ needs such as fishermen and managers of coastal activities.
