Brain Virtual Interactivity

The project aims to develop an integrated multi-functional platform for the identification of the user’s state – mental, behavioural and emotional – and its translation into changes within closed immersive virtual reality environments.

Placing itself between Smart Design and Neuroscience, the BraVI BraVIset itself the challenge of modifying the living environment through the exploration of two virtual reality scenarios, one at work exploring the area of safety in the workplace (‘Intelligent Factory’) and one at home investigating inclusion, active ageing and home assistance (‘Inclusive Home’).

The approach aims at a new idea of Ambient Living, where the user’s needs and emotions are placed at the centre of the automation processes in an active and constantly updated way, in order to adapt the industry to new technologies on the one hand, and to improve the accessibility and inclusion of the elderly and people with disabilities in the domestic environment on the other.
