OCEAN:ICE (Ocean Cryosphere Exchanges in ANtarctica: Impacts on Climate and the Earth System) is a Horizon Europe project funded by the European Commission, officially launching on November 1, 2022. Its primary focus is to assess the environmental impact of climate change on Earth, starting with the Southern Ocean. The project will analyze data related to sea level rise, deep water formation, ocean current circulation, and climate dynamics.
ETT contributes by managing data flows, ensuring accessibility, usability, and interoperability in compliance with international standards. The collected data is made available to key European (EMODnet, Copernicus Marine Service) and international (SOOS) monitoring and data collection systems.
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or European Research Executive Agency (REA). Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
