On Saturday 23 September, from 10 a.m. to 11.15 a.m., ETT R&D Manager Antonio Novellino participated in the event Trieste Next 2023, Festival of Scientific Research that addresses key topics of scientific and cultural debate.
His speech was part of the conference ‘Technological innovation for sustainability: from data to raising community awareness’.
Climate change is here for all to see and the only way out is for all of us to change too, with no exceptions. The conference highlighted how technology, often considered the cause of all evil, is a big help in coping with change. Concepts which underpin the technological innovation of the scientific world, were explained, such as open science, machine learning, digital twin of the ocean. Tools were also presented to engage citizens and public bodies in both data collection and awareness-raising.
