The “Mille Infrastrutture – Business Network” is established for the monitoring and security of infrastructures, and ETT is also a part of it.
It represents the first example of a technological excellence supply chain covering the entire national territory for monitoring critical infrastructures. Innovation, selectivity, and competitiveness support the country’s Security, Cohesion, and Development goals in accordance with the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
Rome, August 5, 2021 – The contract for the establishment of “Mille Infrastrutture – Business Network,” the first and largest business network in Italy created for static and dynamic monitoring of infrastructures, especially bridges, viaducts, and tunnels, has been signed.
The Network is a concrete response to the missions and priorities outlined in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the related Complementary Fund. A new legal entity is now established to continue the “Mille Infrastrutture” project’s actions, which was initially proposed in August 2020 under the “Strade Sicure” intervention measure, with an initial value exceeding 450 million euros. Due to its innovative capacity and utility, this project emerges as a catalyst for economic development and national security.
The initiative to create the “Mille Infrastrutture” Network originates from the Technological Districts of Basilicata, Liguria, Piedmont, and Campania, involving large, medium, and small enterprises, along with research centers and universities, including ETT, totaling over eighty actors, both public and private. It forms a network of complementary skills with major players in technological innovation.
“The Network will be a vector of development and innovation throughout the Peninsula, with a particular focus on the revival of the South, a priority objective of the PNRR, to strengthen cohesion and promote economic growth. A solid technological axis will be created for infrastructure monitoring and risk prevention: a unique contribution to the Country’s System in terms of innovation, effectiveness, and reliability,” stated Antonio Colangelo, President of the TeRN consortium of Basilicata and newly elected President of the Network, and promoter of the contract along with Engineer Remo Pertica, President of the Ligure Siit Technological District.
The cooperation aims to build a cutting-edge technological platform capable of managing data acquired through innovative multisensory and satellite systems. It will apply artificial intelligence solutions to ensure the monitoring of all parameters that control the stability and safety of the country’s infrastructures. The platform can later be used for monitoring other works and provide operators and safety authorities with an effective alert and maintenance tool.
The strength of the Network lies in its neutrality and absolute independence in delivering the specified service, ensuring the reliability and transparency of the data and information provided to support stakeholder decisions. The organizational model of the “Mille Infrastrutture” project represents a replicable best practice on a European scale, addressing the objectives of citizen protection and safeguarding infrastructure heritage.
Roma, 05 agosto 2021 – Sottoscritto il contratto per la costituzione di “Mille Infrastrutture – Rete d’imprese”, la prima e più grande rete di imprese in Italia creata per il monitoraggio statico e dinamico delle infrastrutture, con particolare riferimento a ponti, viadotti e gallerie.
La Rete è una risposta concreta alle missioni e alle priorità inserite nel Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza e nel connesso Fondo Complementare. Nasce oggi un nuovo soggetto giuridico per dare continuità di azione al progetto “Mille Infrastrutture”, già candidato ad agosto 2020 nell’ambito della misura di intervento “Strade Sicure”, per un valore iniziale di oltre 450 milioni di euro.
Tale progetto, in virtù della sua particolare capacità di innovazione e utilità, si presenta come un volano per lo sviluppo economico e per la sicurezza del Paese.
L’iniziativa per la creazione della Rete “Mille Infrastrutture” parte dai Distretti Tecnologici di Basilicata, Liguria, Piemonte e Campania, e coinvolge grandi, medie e piccole imprese, insieme a Centri di ricerca e Università, tra cui ETT, per un totale di oltre ottanta attori, pubblici e
privati. Un network di competenze complementari che vede come protagonisti grandi player nel campo dell’innovazione tecnologica.
“La Rete sarà vettore di sviluppo e innovazione su tutta la Penisola e porrà particolare attenzione al rilancio del Mezzogiorno, obiettivo prioritario del PNRR, per rafforzare la coesione e promuovere la crescita economica. Verrà creato un solido asse tecnologico per il monitoraggio delle infrastrutture e per la prevenzione dei rischi: un unicum per il Sistema Paese in termini di portata innovativa, efficacia ed affidabilità” – ha affermato Antonio Colangelo, Presidente del consorzio TeRN di Basilicata e neoeletto Presidente della Rete, nonché promotore del contratto insieme all’Ing. Remo Pertica, Presidente del Distretto Tecnologico Ligure Siit.
La cooperazione si pone, infatti, come obiettivo principale la realizzazione di una piattaforma tecnologica all’avanguardia, in grado di gestire i dati acquisiti tramite sistemi innovativi multisensoriali e satellitari, ed applicare soluzioni di intelligenza artificiale per garantire il monitoraggio di tutti i parametri che assicurano il controllo della stabilità e sicurezza delle infrastrutture del Paese. La piattaforma potrà successivamente essere utilizzata per le attività di monitoraggio di altre opere e fornire ai gestori ed alle Autorità preposte alla sicurezza un efficace strumento di allerta e
di manutenzione.
Punto di forza della Rete è rappresentato dal suo carattere di terzietà ed assoluta indipendenza nell’erogazione del servizio in oggetto, a garanzia dell’affidabilità e della trasparenza dei dati e delle informazioni fornite a supporto delle decisioni da parte degli stakeholder. Il particolare modello organizzativo su cui è stato costituito il progetto “Mille Infrastrutture” rappresenta una best practice replicabile su scala europea, rispondendo agli obiettivi della tutela del cittadino e della salvaguardia del patrimonio infrastrutturale.
