Canova. Eternal Beauty(Canova. Eterna bellezza) opens on 9 October and ETT-produced audioguides will be available for visitors. The “Canova. Eternal Beauty” exhibition is promoted by the Roma Capitale Department of Cultural Development, produced by the Capitolina Superintendency for Cultural Heritage and by Arthemisia, and planned together with Zètema Progetto Cultura. It is curated by Giuseppe Pavanello and will be hosted at the Museo di Roma until March 15th 2020. The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca and with Gypsotheca and Museo Antonio Canova in Possagno. The installation fit-out has pronounced visual impact and over 170 works by Canova and some of his contemporaries brighten the rooms of the Museo di Roma in Palazzo Braschi. The exhibition’s thirteen sections tell of Canova’s art and the context encountered by the sculptor when he arrived in The City [of Rome] in 1779. Sophisticated lighting solutions create the warm torch-lit atmosphere in the Via delle Colonnette studio in which the artist, at the close of the eighteenth century, showed his works to guests at night. Thanks to ETT audioguides, the history of art combines with original music, accompanying visitors on the discovery of the master of Neoclassical sculpture.
