Infinitum

Conceived and set up by ETT inside the Church of the Mission in Mondovì, one of the jewels of Baroque art in Italy, a variety of multimedia paths are available, such as the captivating ‘Andrea Pozzo Racconta‘ show, a combination of light effects, Baroque music and stories that accompany the visitor through the nave; the guided tour ‘Esplorando Infinitum‘ and the ceiling projections dedicated to the ‘History of anaphorism’. The video presents an annotated excursus on the history of anamorphosis, from its origins as an offshoot of perspective knowledge, to its development as a science in its own right, up to the dizzying contemporary images of ‘street artists’.

There are also interactive and virtual reality activities that will give the visitor the impression of being fully immersed in the history and art of the church.
An example of this is the ‘Virtual Baroque Tour’, which allows visitors to discover the wonders guarded by the church through the use of 3D VR visors.

The route runs along the main Points of Interest: an actor in the guise of Andrea Pozzo accompanies the visitor on a journey of discovery of the Church of the Mission, its frescoes and its curiosities, using multimedia content that will implement the 360° filming of the church’s rooms.

This is followed by ‘The Wonders of Painting’, an edutainment station that allows people to move and paint in a 3D space.

Also active are two touch stations to learn more about the history of the church and the Tridentine artist, learn while having fun with interactive games and discover the main attractions of the entire Monregalese area.

The first station provides access to the classic in-depth information sheets, so as to give those who opt for a more traditional route the opportunity to understand the iconographic cycle – supplemented with other in-depth information on some of the most interesting works inside the church. In addition, it is possible to explore, in interactive mode, the material related to the diagnostic analyses carried out during the last restoration. The same touch also offers children the possibility of learning while having fun through two specially designed interactive games.

The second station is dedicated to the discovery of Mondovì and its territory through an interactive map. The map of the city will highlight the major Points of Interest, divided into five macro-areas: Places/Places, Churches, Museums, Monuments, Tourist Attractions. The user may decide to filter the display of POIs on the map, activating a specific category, and thus highlighting only the points of interest related to that macro-topic. A brief information sheet is associated with each point.
