On May 1st, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, in Turin at the MAUTO – National Automobile Museum on Corso Unità d’Italia, 40, the event “Discovering Ayrton: 5G to Experience the Circuit, the Car, and the Driver” will take place.

A unique opportunity to get up close with the 5G4CAP10100 project and the upcoming technological challenges to experience the museum in an immersive, replicable, and adaptive way, utilizing 5G technology.

To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Ayrton Senna‘s passing, from 1:00 PM at the National Automobile Museum, his life and achievements will be celebrated with streaming connections from the Imola Circuit, at 5G speed. Wearing virtual reality headsets, participants can join a live 360° 3D stereoscopic broadcast, interspersed with pre-produced Virtual Reality content about the brazilian driver.

At 2:17 PM, there will be a commemoration of Ayrton Senna at the Tamburello corner, in direct connection from Imola until 3:00 PM, to discover the places and meet the people who experienced and cheered for his rise and the establishment of his legend.

Throughout the day, attendees can try out demonstrators created within the scope of the 5G4C.A.P.10100 Project: Circuit, Car, Driver, NFT Wallet, and metamuseum, dedicated to Senna as a man and a driver with project partners and representatives from the University of Turin, leading the experimentation, at the National Automobile Museum.

The 5G4C.A.P.10100 Project, funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy within the Fund for Development and Cohesion, enhances the museum experience through 5G technology, with a focus on the immersive storytelling of Ayrton Senna at the National Automobile Museum in Turin and beyond. Leveraging augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and NFTs, the museum narrative transforms into an engaging experience that transcends physical boundaries, connecting Turin, Imola, and São Paulo, Brazil.

A project made possible by emerging and immersive technologies as well as the local ecosystem of stakeholders: ICxT and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Turin, TIM S.p.A., Fondazione LINKS, ETT S.p.A., Carbonlab S.r.l., AnotheReality S.r.l., Tree S.r.l., National Automobile Museum of Turin, Imola Circuit, and the City of Turin.

Extending beyond the museum, the 5G4C.A.P.10100 project aims to revolutionize cultural interaction: promoting entrepreneurial development through technology transfer in the cultural and creative sector, as well as demonstrating the ability of emerging technologies to enrich cultural access through an approach that combines emotion, technology, and history, generating significant impact nationally.
