SimCity: Simulation, efficiency and sustainability in the City’s multi utility companiesSimCity: Simulation, efficiency and sustainability in the City’s multi utility companies
The project uses advanced technologies to collect and analyse data in real time, supporting evidence-based decisions and improving responsiveness to city needs. The objective is to design and test a reference model for the optimised management of city services, from a smart and green perspective, to promote a more harmonious and sustainable urban development. Moreover, a more efficient response to citizens’ needs will contribute to an increase in the level of satisfaction in terms of well-being and usability. This innovative approach will ensure smarter and more sustainable management of urban resources. Project site: in progress
Features
- Optimisation of Urban Services: improving the operational efficiency of city services through integrated and automated processes.
- Sustainable Resource Management: promoting sustainable use of urban resources through innovative methodologies and advanced technologies.
- Improving Quality of Life: offering citizens higher quality services, ensuring a timely and adequate response to their needs
- Data-Driven Decisions: design a system that collects and analyses real-time data to support informed decisions and improve city management.
- Process Integration: centralise the management of urban resources to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Continuous Innovation: adopt a continuous improvement approach to constantly adapt and refine proposed solutions in response to evolving urban needs
The results will be achieved through the use of the following technologies:
- IoT
- Big Data
- Machine Learning
- Artificial Intelligence
- Augmented Reality
- Digital Twin
- Multimedia
- Advanced sensors
Activities
The five lines of activity enable the realisation of the project:
- Detailed analysis of urban needs
- Identification of management processes in place
- Analysis of potential, criticalities and needs in order to design solutions and processes to optimise service management
- Comparison with the Genoa City Council’s investees through ad hoc interviews to investigate the tools and methods and the level of performance of the services offered, and on this basis, optimised solutions will be developed through constant dialogue with stakeholders
What XEDUM, an ETT Group company, deals with
Xedum, the project leader, is a company, part of the ETT Group, with strong expertise in the design and implementation of the front-end of digital applications. It always carries out a careful analysis in search of an efficient user experience and user interface in order to always put the person at the centre. This has enabled it to successfully enter a highly competitive museum and exhibition market, particularly in the scientific, technological and cultural area. On the basis of the technological infrastructure to be implemented with the project, it has the ambition to radically innovate the way governance processes are visualised and the development of descriptors of evaluation parameters. It will gather the data processed by the partners in the previous phases in order to elaborate a series of governance scenarios with their benefits and impacts, design tools for the optimisation of services and a model to be tested within the project.
