As of October 2019, the Blue Cloud project provides streamlined access to an unprecedented wealth of multidisciplinary datasets from observations, analytical services, and computational facilities essential to ocean knowledge.
The project consists of a web-based collaborative environment that combines the interests of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC – Goal: services for storing, managing, analyzing, and reusing research data, across boundaries and disciplines) and ocean research communities.
Blue Cloud2026 interacts with data from the European Open Science Cloud in support of the EU’s Green Deal, the UN SDGs, the EU’s Destination Earth, and the EU’s Starfish Mission on the health of oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters.
