MU-CH - Chemistry Museum
Amaze, teach and excite are the keywords of MU-CH, a colourful and innovative museum-laboratory where science is learnt by touching.
Housed in the former Siva paint factory – where Primo Levi worked for years as a chemist – is the MU-CH, the first museum in Europe to offer an interactive route dedicated to chemistry, a family-sized place that invites children to have fun and play with science.
In addition to the multimedia path that explores five macro themes along its 28 exhibits, MU-CH also features a planetarium-library for exploring space, a laboratory where educational activities on various chemistry and STEAM topics can be carried out, the C Lab, and the Chemistry bar, an 80s American-bar where chemical reactions are served instead of cocktails.
MU-CH, not only stands for the initials of ‘Museum’ and ‘Chemistry’, but recalls the English ‘much’, i.e. what the museum wants to give its visitors: much – fun, education, creativity, involvement, interactivity.
