The Sentinel Project starts: ETT takes part in it within the Train Consortium

Managing and controlling the flow of heavy vehicles by weighing them in real time to increase road infrastructure safety: this the focus of the SENTINEL project (intelligent dynamic weighing system for heavy traffic management). It has been developed by Enea, the national agency for new technologies, and it will see ETT’s commitment within the Train Consortium, in partnership with various competences of excellence in the field of intelligent transport systems: the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Salerno, Takius , a bell company active in the development of prototypes of new generation microprocessor control systems, and Anas, the manager of the national road network. The result of the experiment, lasting 30 months, will develop an innovative platform to manage and control the flow of heavy vehicles through their weighing in real time.
