27 representatives from Italian and Croatian partner organisations are taking part in the Archaeodigit Kick-off Meeting<\/strong>, held on 20 and 21 March in Macerata<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ARCHAEODIGIT project<\/strong> (ARCHAEOlogical DIGITal paths for an inclusive and sustainable tourism), funded by the INTERREG VI-A Italy\u2013Croatia 2021\u20132027 Programme<\/strong>, aims to lay the foundation for the development of an innovative methodology<\/strong> for the preservation, interpretation, and enhancement of archaeological sites<\/strong> within a broader cultural and tourism ecosystem. The project focuses on strengthening the use of digital technologies<\/strong>, integrating tangible and intangible heritage<\/strong>, and fostering wider public access to archaeological resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARCHAEODIGIT connects archaeological sites and cities across Italy and Croatia, with the goal of creating a shared model of management and promotion<\/strong>, based on best practices and successful case studies. The project seeks to establish archaeological heritage as a strategic asset for reducing tourism seasonality<\/strong> in coastal areas, through effective service communication<\/strong> and engaging digital tools for visitor experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Municipality of Macerata<\/strong> is leading the project. Italian partners include the University of Macerata<\/strong>, ETT<\/strong>, the Altilia\u2013Saepinum archaeological area<\/strong> (Molise), and the Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce<\/strong>. On the Croatian side, the project involves the Municipality of Ka\u0161tela<\/strong>, the Municipality of Omi\u0161alj<\/strong>, and the University of Pula (PP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ETT will play a key role in the development of advanced digital solutions<\/strong> to promote archaeological heritage. Specifically, ETT will coordinate the participatory design process<\/strong> of the ARCHAEODIGIT platform \u2013 a shared tool for cultural enhancement and communication of local tourism services<\/strong>. In addition to developing the platform, ETT will oversee the technological components and user experience design<\/strong> of the pilot actions<\/strong> at each participating site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
