From March 27 to 29, ETT will mentor participants of the virtual Open Sea Lab 4.0 Hackathon, representing EMODnet<\/strong>, the European Marine Observation and Data Network. Leveraging its expertise in marine data management, ETT <\/strong>will provide practical support and guidance to innovators aiming to develop solutions for ocean sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hackathon, organized by EMODnet<\/a>, EDITO, and the European Commission in collaboration with Copernicus Marine Service, will utilize the vast array of EMODnet services. These include pan-European marine environmental and human activity datasets and products. Participants’ efforts will contribute to the creation of a Digital Twin<\/strong> of Europe\u2019s oceans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EMODnet Physics, Europe\u2019s leading program for sharing in-situ marine data and observations, is coordinated by ETT. It provides integrated access to data and products on physical marine properties, such as temperature, salinity, water currents, sea level, wave conditions, meteorological and surface water properties, underwater noise pollution, and ice cover. EMODnet Physics<\/a> processes continuous data streams from over 8,000 fixed and mobile platforms globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ETT is also a key partner for the EMODnet Ingestio<\/a>n platform, which facilitates the integration of new data sources and tools into the EMODnet system, with a focus on real-time data. Additionally, ETT contributes to EMODnet Chemistry<\/a>, developing products related to the chemical properties of the seas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
