According to AIE data, in 2023, 74% of people between the age of 15 and 74 read at least one printed book (even if only partially), an e-book, or listened to an audiobook in the previous 12 months.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So are we really reading less, as we are often told, or are our reading habits and our relationship\/engagement with books ‘just’ changing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the question raised by Francesca Paola Leon<\/strong>, Project Manager and Business Developer at ETT, Sam Minelli<\/strong>, Business Manager at GruppoMeta, and Paolo Ongaro<\/strong>, General Manager of GruppoMeta and CEO of Talia, on Thursday, May 9th at 1:45 PM in the Madrid Room at Lingotto Fiere on the occasion of the 34th edition of the Turin International Book Fair<\/strong> in 2024, the largest edition ever. This year, in the 137,000 square meters, there will be space for 800 stands, 180 workshops in 51 rooms, and almost 2,000 events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biological diversity of a system is a sign of its good state of health. The reading ecosystem has never been more diverse than it is today. We read on paper, digitally, on monitor displays; we have extended, virtually augmented, customizable, and modulable books. We meet and discover authors in bookstores, online, on social media. But how do we keep this biodiversity alive? What are the dangers to guard against? What are the opportunities?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
